Most maintenance procedures require a service outage. If the maintenance is performed during business hours then your website won't be accessible during business hours.
Except in emergencies, AthensGuy.com only schedules downtime for maintenance when it is least likely someone will be trying to access your website. The early morning hours of 3 am to 6 am near holidays are usually best.
